С лицензией BASE маршрутизаторы Brocade NetIron CER 2000 поддерживают полный набор Layer 2 Switching функций, а так же полный набор Layer 3 функций (RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP). Так же она включает virtual routing в случае non-MPLS архитектуры через Multi-VRF. Лицензия Advanced Services Premium (ADV_SVCS_PREM) включает в себя такие функции, как: MPLS, Layer 2 VPNs на основе VPLS и VLLs, Provider Bridges (IEEE 802.1ad), Provider Backbone Bridges (IEEE 802.1ah), Connectivity Fault Management (IEEE 802.1ag) и Service OAM, Ethernet Service Instance (ESI).
